Osaka - Takimi Koji by Ceridwenn Osaka - Takimi Koji by Ceridwenn
A street of Takimi Koji, a Taishô era-like (1912-1926) shopping district in Osaka (Japan).
This is not a museum but a real shopping district at the first floor of a building, with a lot of restaurant, some of them very cheap, and you can visit the place for free !

Aww I really like the mood of this one and the composition, too! It feels traditional somehow and cosy with this warm lighting and this small place. You captured it very well! :)

Yes, the real colours were very warm. And it was really warm in this place 'cause outside, winter in Japan is VERY cold! I was glad to visit this place!
Thanks!

Oh it's cold? Which part was it? I know Hokkaido is really REALLY cold (and it is just basically winter almost all year, haha) but my teacher said that outside that and majority of Japanese winter it's not that cold compared to continental European and temperature barely goes beyond freeze point. I'm curious now. o.o

Osaka is under Tokyo. And I swear I've never have so cold in France.
When it was said 12°C it was like a 5 or 6° at home.
I was wearing 2 shirts, 3 sweaters with a mantel, 2 pairs of high socks with shorts under my trousers to go outside!
When we came back, we saw a post on a website explaining that Japan was really colder than France and that we have to take care! I would have read it before going! XD

And inside houses, it's pretty cold too because there's no good thermal insulation (probably because of earthquake, windows and doors need to move without broking) and most of the time the heating system used is air conditioning (pretty bad at heating and doing a very dry air -probably because of tatami that don't smell very good when it's humid- ^^')

Anyway, it's a lovely country you really have to see, but avoid winter if you can ^^'

Ah I see. O.O
haha yeah I heard that they don't have heating system so my teacher whose homeland is Hokkaido (the ever-snow-land, haha) was complaining about that saying that even though its way colder but at least they use heaters INSIDE. XD

Haha, okay, I surely will keep it in mind then, I don't do that well with cold. <,<
